The Big Ugly Burger! Inspired by the legendary “Man v Food” contests, we’ve created our own version, and we believe it’s even better. This colossal burger challenge is based on a famous Detroit food contest. However, with a British twist and the finest local ingredients, it offers an experience you will never forget.
The Big Ugly Burger
Not only is it a meal—it’s a challenge and a real test of endurance. To start, the burger features a jaw-dropping 12-inch patty made from 100% prime British beef. In fact, we source our beef locally to ensure it’s not just big, but also top-quality and delicious. Additionally, the patty is perfectly seasoned and grilled to juicy perfection. Afterward, it’s tucked into a 12-inch homemade bap, freshly baked right here in our kitchen.
But that is just the start
Furthermore, we top the burger with generous layers of rich Cheddar cheese, which melts beautifully over the patty. As a result, it adds a creamy indulgence to every bite. To complement this, we include a tangy onion relish, which provides a sweet and savory flavour balance that cuts through the richness of the beef and cheese. Of course, no ultimate burger would be complete without the sides. Along with the burger, you’ll get a heap of crispy chips, a refreshing salad, creamy coleslaw, and a side of golden onion rings. Consequently, it’s a feast for your eyes and a challenge for your stomach!
This challenge isn’t for the faint-hearted, but that’s exactly what makes it so exciting. Since the burger is so large, The Big Ugly Burger is only available once a month. Therefore, it gives contenders plenty of time to prepare for the ultimate food showdown. So far, our challenge has been dominated by men—especially our rugby-playing patrons, who have made quick work of the burger. However, we’re eager to see some brave ladies step up to the plate and prove their strength!
