31 Pubs Close Every Week!

Wow, Wow, Wow…….. I was so shocked when reading this article on The Morning Advertiser Website- 31 Pubs are closing every week! 

When the recession along with the smoking ban first hit, i knew it affected a lot of pubs and that the closure rate was quite high say around 30 a week but with most of the economy on the way up i thought the pub trade would be too!

The closure rate in December 2013 was 28 per week and a recent CAMRA study found that number had risen to 31 per week! That are many factors that contribute to pub closures- Recession, smoking ban, PubCo’s & Franchises & finally supermarket prices!

We are just lucky at The Farmer’s Boy Inn that the team have worked so hard on building and maintaining a high standard in all aspects that we have literally never been busier!
