The New Hops have Arrived!

Every year at the beginning of September it’s a messy time at The Farmer’s Boy Inn, why you may ask? Well because September marks the change of the hops, and anyone that has had hops in the house knows that this is messy!

When the new hops are put up they are luscious, fragrant and green but as the year goes on and they dry out they turn brown, crispy & messy! So in reality when we take the old hops down that’s the messy part but i suppose it’s all worth it when people comment on the lovely effect they have!
